Sad News

“I am so very sad today. Our manager and great friend Dave Kavanagh has passed away. The High Kings only exist because of Dave and his vision.
We will miss him always. I'll be forever grateful to him and I'll miss the chats on the phone and his sharp wit. I'm glad we both had a great catch up recently at the office.
God speed Dave. Thank you.
My deepest condolences to his family.
This weekend will be very tough, but we will do our best.”

“A beautiful gathering, a beautiful send off for our fearless leader, manager and friend. His legacy will live on through ourselves and every other artist who he worked his magic on. Following beautiful tributes from his family, music from Maeve, Bono and The Edge from U2, The High Kings sent Dave on his way with The Parting Glass. Just as he would have wanted it.
Ar dheis de go raibh a anam.”

From the Archives

On St Patrick’s Day, Ireland, already confirmed as the 2018 Six Nations rugby champions, took on England at Twickenham. The convincing win saw them completing the Grand Slam for only the third time in their history, the last in 2009. Back in 2014, the High Kings got to perform Ireland's Call at Twickenham before the England Ireland game, they didn't win that day, but this win certainly made it a very Happy St Patrick's Day 2018 for Irish rugby and their supporters.
